Graphic Words has been involved in providing design and print materials for many trail projects. For example, we assisted with the development of the Goss Moor multi-use trail near St. Dennis in Cornwall. The trail offers an opportunity for walkers, horse-riders, cyclists and wheelchair / mobility scooter users to explore the fascinating area of Goss Moor on a well-surfaced path.
Our work has included an introductory interpretative leaflet, alongside welcome and interpretation panels for installation at significant points around the Trail. All materials were designed to present a co-ordinated identity for the Trail.
For the Goss Moor project, we created route maps, showing points of interest and the location of the trail, created by layering information over OS base maps (which were supplied and used under the licenses of the authorities concerned).
We also designed interpretation panels which were located at strategic points around the trail, providing trail users with a range of information about the habitats on the moor, the river Fal (which rises on Goss Moor), and the old A30, which ran across the moor until being re-routed and widened further to the north.
In addition, we supplied temporary directional and waymarking signs (mounted on “Corex” board) for use on the trail until permanent signs could be installed.
